I recently had the pleasure of completing the phlebotomy course at Stars Academy under Mary and Nancy, and I can honestly say it was one of the better $1,600 I've ever spent on my own education. This is a month-long intensive course with serious hands-on practice. If you're pursuing work in clinics, labs, or hospitals, you already know that phlebotomy shows up on job descriptions constantly, whether it's listed as required or preferred. This course is how you clear that bar and walk in with real, demonstrable skills -- not just a line on a resume. They will also prepare you for the national exam so you get your national license in phlebotomy. What sets Stars Academy apart is the instruction. Mary is experienced, patient, and genuinely invested in every student. She meets people where they are -- whether you're nervous around needles, hesitant to stick, or just completely new to this. That 1 on 1 relationship and guidance is not something you will get in a large phlebotomy class with like 20-30 students. A few honest tips if you enroll: don't wait until the last 10 days to start studying for the NHA exam. Start from day one. Pay close attention when Mary flags something as important or exam-relevant -- write it down, make flashcards, and really internalize the order of draw.
